From June to August this summer, ALDI celebrated the grand opening of seven new stores—ALDI Songjiang Kaiyuan Mediterranean Store, ALDI Minhang YinDu Dream Gala Store, ALDI Putuo Tian'an 1000 Trees Store, ALDI Yangpu Xinjiangwancheng U Fun Store, ALDI Yangpu Binjiang Bailian Store, ALDI Pudong CHAMTIME PLAZA Store and ALDI Pudong ZENDAI THUMB PLAZA Store. To date, ALDI has opened 48 stores in Shanghai, further expanding its radius of physical stores. All new stores are located in bustling commercial areas in communities, and launched with a series of discount offers on their opening days, which not only attracted nearby community residents and families, but also energized community shopping districts.
Seven new stores information:
·On June 10th, ALDI Songjiang Kaiyuan Mediterranean Store opened in Songjiang Kaiyuan Mediterranean Mall, one of the commercial landmarks of Songjiang, which sits in the central area of Songjiang New City and adjoins the University Town on the north. The new store greatly facilitates the surrounding residents and students while meeting diverse shopping needs of all ages.
·On July 22nd, ALDI Minhang YinDu Dream Gala Store opened in the new ‘Dream Gala’ shopping mall of Minhang Meilong. It is the only ALDI store in Shanghai with a marine theme and features a marine-themed illustration wall over 11.5 metres, immersing consumers in ‘exploring ALDI under the sea’ and exuding an art charm.
·On July 29th, ALDI Putuo Tian'an 1000 Trees Store opened in the ‘Tian'an 1000 Trees’ shopping mall of Putuo, adjacent to Suzhou River and a popular landmark of the new generation. Aligning with Tian’an 1000 Tree’s children-friendly character, the ALDI store strives to provide surrounding residents and nuclear families with a convenient and high-quality shopping experience.
·On August 5th, ALDI Yangpu Xinjiangwancheng U Fun Store opened in U Fun shopping centre of Yangpu. As the biggest commercial complex so far, U Fun aims at creating a unique green park shopping experience and attracts lots of people nearby who look for modern family life and leisure time. The arrival of ALDI further meets their pursuit of quality living.
·On August 12th, ALDI Yangpu Binjiang Bailian Store opened in Yangpu Bailian Binjiang shopping mall which is one of the older commercial landmarks in Yangpu and is family-oriented. ALDI’s opening received a warm welcome from surrounding residents and families, and offers them high-quality and cost-effective shopping choices.
·On August 26th, ALDI Pudong CHAMTIME PLAZA Store and ALDI Pudong ZENDAI THUMB PLAZA Store opened simultaneously. The two new stores serve Zhangjiang high tech park and Lujiazui financial city, respectively and provide better coverage of the surrounding young urban white-collar workers by meeting diversified shopping needs of their age.

The grand openings of these new stores indicate that ALDI always pays close attention to consumers’ need for daily groceries, and further enhance ALDI’s development in Shanghai.
